In the Beginning: Memories of First Avenue South (click thumbnails to enlarge)

In the last millennium, before digital cameras (note poor photo quality), before flat-screen monitors (how did we get any work done with so little desk space?), even before we had a web site, Atlas occupied a little old warehouse south of downtown Seattle. We had martini parties, we drove around on the forklift, we got rattled by the Nisqually Earthquake, we even got some work done. In fact, we worked so hard that we outgrew the space and moved to our current location in July of 2002. Take a look back at how young we were once.

Pat and Craig (founders of Atlas) on the roller coaster at the Silverwood Theme Park outside of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Little did they know... The first Atlas employee/intern, Jesse Mass, and his (not-actually) patented "Mass-box". We actually hand sorted quite a few bags of coffee in the Mass-box over the years. The old cupping table

Craig's good friend Mark is always willing to lend a hand (or a martini shaker). Sometimes, we really miss that old forklift... ...other times, not so much.
