Customer Service Representative/Outbound Logistics
Jalen (he/him) is a lover of all things creative and of finding creativity in all things. Growing up, he wanted to be a comic book artist, but over time that dream changed. In college, Jalen studied Graphic Design, and during these years, a passion for music grew out of his love for guitar. Thanks to music and surrounding himself with like-minded people, coffee popped up on his radar.
Learning that coffee was more than something people use to stay awake and remain energized fascinated him. Eventually, that fascination turned into a job, and that job quickly became a career. When not working with coffee, Jalen can be found cooking, making coffee and tea cocktails, writing and recording music, or doing parkour.
Before joining the Atlas team in Seattle in 2023, Jalen resided in St. Louis, MO, and worked for our long-term partners at Kaldi’s Coffee.

The “High School Musical” soundtrack; that movie is full of bops.
Random fact about you?
I’m on a personal quest to find as many button-up shirts with big cats, especially tigers, on them.
What profession did you want when you were a kid?
I had somewhat lofty goals as a kid; at one time, I wanted to be a firefighter like my dad or an astronaut. I very quickly gave up on those aspirations.
Best coffee memory?
The feeling of relief and excitement when I heard my name called for 3rd place at the US Coffee in Good Spirits Qualifier in Nashville.
