Produced by members of the Baragwi Farmer Cooperative Society (FCS), Kenya’s largest cooperative by both membership and volume, Guama is the largest factory within the organization. The cooperative brings together smallholder farmers who deliver ripe coffee cherry for processing at the factory.

Cherry is handpicked and carefully sorted before being pulped, then fermented overnight, washed, and graded. The parchment is dried on raised tables for 8–14 days, with careful attention throughout processing to prepare the coffee for export.

This coffee was sourced through our sister company, NKG East Africa, a green coffee exporter operating across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. With an established presence at origin, NKG East Africa works directly with smallholder farmers and cooperatives to source quality coffee and support resilient, sustainable supply chains. As part of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe, the company combines local relationships and expertise with a global network.
