Located in Kenya’s northern Rift Valley, near the Ugandan border at the foot of Mount Elgon, Endebess Estate has a coffee history dating back to the 1940s, when it was owned by the family of Mr. E.W. D’Ollier. The family milled and processed coffee from the estate as well as from neighboring smallholder farmers, a practice that has remained part of the estate’s story.

In 2011, the estate was acquired by Kaitet Tea Plantations, which has since invested in infrastructure improvements and the wellbeing of its workers. These efforts include financing 15 housing renovations and sponsoring high school students.

The estate spans approximately 758 hectares, with 248 hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation. This fully washed coffee is pulped and washed using fresh water from the Koitobos River. The parchment is then sun-dried on raised beds for 21–28 days, rotated at least four times daily to promote even drying.

This coffee was sourced through our sister company, NKG East Africa, a green coffee exporter operating across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. With an established presence at origin, NKG East Africa works directly with producers and cooperatives to source quality coffee and support resilient, sustainable supply chains. As part of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe, the company combines local relationships and expertise with a global network.
